North Ferriby United[edit]

North Ferriby United were removed due to 'not being in Hull' but I have opted to reinstate them as in my opinion they play a major role in sport in the region. Firstly, their ground, Church Road, is where Hull City Reserves play their matches, they regularly play pre-season derby matches with Hull City and the Hull Daily Mail regularly reports on the team's progress as if it were the city's second team. In addition, North Ferriby is without doubt a suburb of Hull and included the city's commuter belt. If we were talking about a Sport in Manchester page, we would probably include teams such as Bury FC and Salford City Reds RLFC for the same reason.

Also, if the logic that 'North Ferriby isn't in Hull' is followed, we would have to remove Hull Ionians, who currently play in Brantingham, and Hall Road Rangers, who currently play in Dunswell. My aim with this template was to include all sporting associations and venues that directly impact and play a part in the sporting life of the whole of Hull, not just those that are situated within the stringent local authority boundary.

I would disagree that North Ferriby is a suburb of Hull, it may be in the commuter belt but Hull stops before reaching Hessle let alone North Ferriby. Keith D (talk) 21:40, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
