Trimmed categories[edit]

It is not necessary to include all the linked articles in Category:Roman Catholic Ecclesiastical Province of New Orleans and Category:Christianity in Louisiana; by virtue of being placed in Category:Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans, those categories are already an implied parent and ancestor. Including them does not contribute to navigation; indeed, if it hinders it by cluttering the other cats and making pointless the existence of the more granular child.-choster (talk) 01:29, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
