Unless there is a local consensus to deviate from the project-wide consensus in the discussion at Talk:New York#Proposed action to resolve incorrect incoming links, I will revert this edit to pipe the link to "New York" through the redirect to New York (state). This has been deemed necessary in order to make it possible to find and fix errant links to "New York" that intend meanings other than the state (over 22,500 errors have been fixed through this effort so far).
