There are several problems associated with the image and the original caption.

  • The map does show the extents of the ice age lakes, but does not show the extent of the Lake Bonneville flood, only the approximate route it took.
  • While the caption states that the arrows show the direction of flooding, there are a number of arrows in the figure that are unrelated to the Lake Bonneville flood, and don't seem to be related to any flood. What do they represent? Either they need to be removed, or the legend needs to be altered. One arrow seems to indicate flow from the Sacramento River into Lake Lahontan, which would be impossible given the intervening Sierra Nevada.
  • Lake Bonneville must have formed many times during the ice ages previous to 32,000 years ago. WolfmanSF (talk) 01:17, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
