I propose having just one list of orchestras, rather than separating Portland from "elsewhere". Or, if compartmentalizing is preferred, what about Eastern vs. Western Oregon? --Another Believer (Talk) 20:51, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

While it might look odd at the moment, Salem, Corvallis, Bend, and Medford also have orchestras that may be notable. My original plan was for Portland, Valley, and Other/Elsewhere with hopes that there would be some balance between them. As to east vs west, that would have just one entry for east. I agree with Aboutmovies that the template's current arrangement is best. The sections can always be revised later, if articles for other orchestras outside Portland are written, but regardless, I believe it makes sense to group those that are located in the Portland metro area.
