Absurd inclusion[edit]

Hi all. I have removed three groups from this template. In 2001, Donald Sassoon estimated that Mona Lisa had appeared in 2,000 advertisements, appearing at an average of one new advertisement each week, sadly the kind of trivia this template is asking for here. -SusanLesch (talk) 18:28, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see the logic in this at all, how many of those things have their own articles like the ones included in the template?★Trekker (talk) 19:56, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There is no reason that people need to hang their hats and coats on Lisa, as people have done for centuries. You're welcome to restore all these groups and more, *Treker, if you don't see it that way but please count me out. -SusanLesch (talk) 23:42, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have no clue what you just said is supposed to mean, "hang their hats and coats" what?★Trekker (talk) 01:04, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think some of the removals made sense as tangential. Not every song that mentions something should be on its template, the connection should be clear and notable. Randy Kryn (talk) 01:20, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely agree with that but I don't see any of the ones included right now not being clearly connected.★Trekker (talk) 01:52, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That topic in the "Other" section, and "Lisa Mona Lisa" and other songs which just allude to the paintings smile (or non-smile), these and others seem tangential. I've reordered the sections for relevance to the painting itself, which might flow a bit better. Randy Kryn (talk) 11:08, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
