Template talk:Hidden

Template:Hidden is permanently protected from editing because it is a heavily used or highly visible template. Substantial changes should first be proposed and discussed here on this page. If the proposal is uncontroversial or has been discussed and is supported by consensus, editors may use {{edit template-protected}} to notify an administrator or template editor to make the requested edit. Usually, any contributor may edit the template's documentation to add usage notes or categories.

Any contributor may edit the template's sandbox. Functionality of the template can be checked using test cases.

position of the show link[edit]

Is there a way to put the 'show' not all the way to the right? Currently, I have an image on the right. and the 'show' link is on top of the image. I want the show to somehow be printed to the left of the image.

This is possible with template:hidden begin. I will make an edit request to add an 'toggle=left' option, which matches template:hidden begin. Frietjes (talk) 18:54, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

testing, using multiples, the show button is showing well down the page in among other text. which with hiding the text isn't a problem, but I now have multiple show buttons in the middle of other text Dave Rave (talk) 01:45, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Usage for mobile devices[edit]

Why do this template and other collapsing templates not work on the mobile version of Wikipedia? Every time I login from my mobile, I have to switch to the desktop view for purposes involving collapsing templates, but I have to switch back to mobile view when I need to edit source code of a page because, for some technical reason, even in the latest version of Google Chrome (I'm using version 106.0.5249.126), the editing interface says

This edit request to Template:Hidden begin has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request.

Show button is too far away[edit]

For me, the show button seems to be very far away visually from the heading name. Perhaps a good solution would be to have the show button be inline (regular left alignment), instead of floating it to the right? –Novem Linguae (talk) 21:06, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
