The photo File:MaryPonyRide.jpg certainly should not have gone on the front page. I would have hoped that by now Wikipedia would have some folks who know to make a quick check of images before putting them on the front page -- and that third party images (eg, photos not taken by the uploader) need to have evidence of free license provided (for example with a link back to the source showing a clear free license, or OTRS permission from the photographer/copyright holder). This image lacks any such verification, and is up for deletion as missing permission. -- Infrogmation (talk) 17:31, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

My fault. I took a quick look at the image on Wikimedia Commons and apparently did not read it carefully enough, or perhaps did not understand it well enough. For what it is worth, I think I understand it better now. Sorry about the mistake. Donner60 (talk) 05:49, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
