Inconsistencies between the names of the volcanoes in this template and the names of the corresponding articles[edit]

I've noticed that the names of several of the volcanoes listed in this template do not correspond exactly to the names of the articles that they link to. For example:

  • "Pukewairiki / Highbrook Park" links to the page Pukewairiki. (There's no mention of "Highbrook Park" at all on that page.)
  • "Te Puke o Taramainuku / Ōtara Hill" links to the page Otara Hill. This page notes "Te Puke o Tara" as an alternative name; however, there's no mention of "Te Puke o Taramainuku".
  • "Te Kopua Kai a Hiku / Panmure Basin" links to the page Panmure Basin, where there's no mention at all of "Te Kopua Kai a Hiku".

There are many more examples. Where did the names in this template come from? Do they have any 'official' status? Ross Finlayson (talk) 23:11, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Good point which I do noticed and started doing something about - I am checking against latest Maori which should be in Hayward, Bruce William; Jamieson, Alastair (2019). "Volcanoes of Auckland : a field guide". Auckland University Press. Retrieved 2022-10-30. so this issue will be resolved for the moment ChaseKiwi (talk) 18:37, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
