Usage[edit]
The {{WikiProject Hinduism}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

General parameters:
- class – a rating of the article's quality; see the assessment department for more details.
- FA - The article has reached Featured article status.
- A - Could be submitted as a Featured article candidate; probably could use some small updates to make it Featured quality.
- GA - The article has reached Good article status.
- B - Could be submitted as a Good article nominee; probably could use some updates or may lack some features from the Good article criteria, but it presents a good overview of the subject. B-Class articles should meet the six B-Class criteria.
- C - The article is substantial, but is still missing important content or contains a lot of irrelevant material. The article should have some references to reliable sources, but may still have significant issues or require substantial cleanup.
- Start - The article is more than a stub, but may lack some important aspects of the topic's discussion.
- Stub - The article is a stub; it likely contains one of the Hinduism stub templates.

- Redirect: Redirect
- NA - The page is not an article and should not be rated; it could be a template, image.
- importance – a rating of the article's importance; see the assessment department for more details.

Wikiproject specific parameters
- myth – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Hindu mythology
- phil – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Hindu philosophy
- vedanta – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Vedanta
- saivism – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Saivism
- vaishnavism - "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Vaishnavism
- krishna - "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Krishnaism
- swaminarayan - "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Swaminarayan
- shakti - "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Shaktism
To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
