Project banner[edit]

The {{WikiProject Computer Security}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

General parameters:

  • class – a rating of the article's quality; see the assessment department for more details.
    • FA – The article has reached Featured article status.
    • A – Could be submitted as a Featured article candidate; probably could use some small updates to make it Featured quality.
    • GA – The article has reached Good article status.
    • B – Could be submitted as a Good article nominee; probably could use some updates or may lack some features from the Good article criteria, but it presents a good overview of the subject.
    • C – The article has an large amount of content, but lacks information and organization in areas.
    • Start – The article is more than a stub, but may lack some important aspects of the topic's discussion.
    • Stub – The article is a stub; it likely contains one of the Computer security software templates.
    • Needed – The article does not yet exist but has been identified as a subject that should be covered.
    • Disambig or Dab – The article is a disambiguation page.
    • Redirect or Redir – The article is a redirect page.
    • Template – The page is a template.
    • Category or Cat – The page is a category.
    • Image or Img – The page is an image.
    • List – The page is a list.
    • Portal – The page is a portal.
    • Book – The page is a book created via Wikipedia:Books.
    • NA – The page is not an article and should not be rated; it could be a template, image or category, for example.
  • importance – a rating of the article's importance; see the assessment department for more details.

a rating of the article's importance for coverage of computing in general; see the Computing assessment department for more details.

  • attention – "yes" if the article needs attention.
  • needs-image – "yes" if the article needs an image.
