Tilly Bébé

Bébé with lions in 1905
Bébé with lions in 1905
  • ... that Tilly Bébé, an international performer with lions and a pioneer of their docile training (pictured), starred with her animals in a 1907 silent film genre described as "exotic-erotic-escapist"? Source: [1] for the quote, + others
  • Reviewed: to come
  • Comment: images, but not good enough - not only that film was described that way, but a whole genre, but I have no way of saying that short enough.

  • This is ready to go. SL93 (talk) 00:43, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

SL93, SusunW, Gerda Arendt I've prepared a shorter hook and added an image. Can you take a look and let me know if the're both okay?

  • ... that Tilly Bébé, a pioneer in the docile training of predators, starred with her lions (pictured) in an "exotic-erotic-escapist" genre film?

  • I'm fine with if if the nominator is. SL93 (talk) 02:20, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
I'm fine with it, but am not sure if the quotation marks say clearly enough that this is not a real film genre but what one critic named so. The image is great, thank you for the crop! I added (pictured) to the hooks, but am not sue about its placement, as not only she but also lions are pictured. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:30, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Hi, I keep coming by to promote this, but I find the hook too wordy and multisyllabic. Also, the article says the film was from 1908, not 1907. Could we trim it a little?
  • ALT1: ... that Tilly Bébé, a pioneer of the docile training of lions (pictured), starred with her animals in a 1908 silent film genre described as "exotic-erotic-escapist"? Yoninah (talk) 17:50, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
I'm fine with whatever hook is acceptable to the reviewers. @SL93, Gerda Arendt, The Squirrel Conspiracy, and Yoninah:. Sorry I didn't answer before, but I did not get the ping. SusunW (talk) 17:59, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
Fine if you are fine with it, Susun --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:18, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Oh, I just noticed The Squirrel Conspiracy's alt. I'd like to incorporate it with mine, as follows:
  • ALT2: ... that Tilly Bébé (pictured), a pioneer in the docile training of predators, starred with her lions in a silent film genre described as "exotic-erotic-escapist"?
  • I removed the year because "silent film genre" makes more sense by itself. Restoring tick for ALT2 per SL93's review. Yoninah (talk) 22:09, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
