Slayback's Missouri Cavalry Regiment

Moved to mainspace by Hog Farm (talk). Self-nominated at 03:13, 27 June 2020 (UTC).

  • Date, length and hook all OK. @Hog Farm: My preference is for the original but I do think you should either add Confederate or American Civil War to the hook to clarify which time period it is to people at first glance. QPQ done, no close paraphrasing. Good to go. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 08:56, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
    • @The C of E: How does ALT2 look? Hog Farm Bacon 14:04, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
      • Much better. Review as above, I should have mentioned i'm AGF'ing the book source used for the hook. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 10:41, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
        • @The C of E: - I've had to remove the inline mention for the lances hook per a GA review, as it was deemed trivia/undue coverage. Is the remaining hook interesting enough, or do I need to write another one? Hog Farm Bacon 19:15, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
          • @Hog Farm: For the purposes of DYK, I don't think it's trivial. In fact it's quite interesting that there was the very idea in the 1800s of arming a cavalry regiment with medieval weaponry. I would put it back if I were you for DYK purposes.
