MT MOL FSRU Challenger[edit]

Source: "The MOL FSRU Challenger, the world’s largest FSRU, arrived in Turke" [1], "State gas grid operator Botas chartered the vessel ..." [2], "Turkey commissioned on Wednesday the country’s second floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) at a port in Dörtyol, Hatay " [3]

  • I'll be claiming this for review but for now I'll just mention that I'm not really fond of the hook; it seems to have a bit too much detail (does it want to focus on the ship being the largest of its kind, or that it serves at a certain facility?) I hope ALT 1 meets your requirement. CeeGee 12:48, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
  • The final review will be to follow, but so far it seems to meet the newness and length requirements, and a QPQ has been accomplished. No copyright violations were found. ALT1 is a better hook than ALT0 and is verified in the source given. However, the wording in the article isn't very clear on this: ALT1 says that the vessel is the "largest floating storage and regasification vessel", but the article instead states that it's the "world's largest LNG carrier". The source seems to talk more about the former than the latter, but I can't really approve this as long as the wording remains awkward. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:25, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
  • Copyedited article complying with the a.m. complaint. CeeGee 09:35, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, though the sentence in question still appears to be a bit of a run-on one. Maybe some commas are needed there? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:44, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
  • @Narutolovehinata5: I can not understand the issue due to my level of English language knowledge. If you don't mind please take time and correct it by yourself. Thanks. CeeGee 06:35, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
  • The reviewer ignores my calls, and does not respond at all although he is active elsewhere during the last four days long. It seems that he is no more interested in this DYK nom's future. I kindly ask Wikipedians with good English language knowlodge to give me a hand. Thanks a lot. CeeGee 08:30, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
I have actually been following this nomination, it's just that I don't really know how to rework the awkward wording (for disclosure, the part in question is the sentence that goes "The floating LNG storage and regasification unit (FSRU) vessel is with an LNG storage capacity of 263,000 m3 (9,300,000 cu ft) the world's largest floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU)"). • Thank you for your explanation. I understood now what you had meant, and corrected the sentence which had escapated my attention. However, it is a question to me why you have waited so long to react and did not intend to fix it because as I experience many reviewers do it in such case. Anyway, I hope there is no other issue. Almost ready, just needs one more copyedit to take care of some minor grammar issues, particularly in the last two sections. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:16, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
  • @Narutolovehinata5:  Done This was the ultimate I could do. If not satisfactory, an experienced editor is needed to help. CeeGee 07:33, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

Almost almost there. But there are still some awkward wording and places where commas need to be added. In the interest of expediting this nomination, I will list exactly what needs to be done:

  • "The vessel with an LNG storage capacity of 263,000 m3 (9,300,000 cu ft) is the world's largest floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU)" could probably be rewritten as "With an LNG storage capacity of 263,000 m3 (9,300,000 cu ft), she is the world's largest floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU)".
  • "due to delay in the project completion" should be "due to delays..."
  • What is supposed to go before ", the Turkish state-owned company"?
  • the vessel will be utilized end 2020" and "The project aims the natural gas supply of" should both be rephrased.

  • @Narutolovehinata5:  Done For your fourth point: My rephrasing is as shown. I cannot imagine what's in your mind. Sorry. CeeGee 09:12, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
The phrasing remains awkward. "She is the second FSRU after MT GDF Suez Neptune serving at Egegaz Aliağa LNG Storage Facility in western Turkey." could probably be written as "She is the second FSRU after MT GDF Suez Neptune to serve", while "the vessel will go into service at the Hong Kong Offshore LNG Terminal to supply Hong Kong, the Black Point Power Station located at New Territories and Lamma Power Station at Lamma Island with the natural gas after the completion of the facility end 2020." could be rewritten as ""the vessel will go into service at the Hong Kong Offshore LNG Terminal to supply Hong Kong, the Black Point Power Station located at the New Territories, and Lamma Power Station at Lamma Island with natural gas after the completion of the facility by the end of 2020."
