Lekhapaddhati

  • ... that Lekhapaddhati written in Sanskrit during Chaulukya rule in Gujarat, served as a guidebook with specimens of letters and documents intended to be used for administrative and private transactions? • ALT1:... that around hundred leaves of Lekhapaddhati a guidebook written in Sanskrit for administrative and private correspondence between 8th and 15th century AD in Gujarat, was first compiled and edited by C D.Dalal and G K.Shirgondekar in 1925? • @Santoshdts: Welcome to DYK! The article is new enough and long enough, AGF on sourcing. I needed to do some copyediting for missing definite articles and the like, which I suspect is just Indian English in action. You only have one credit right now, so you are QPQ-exempt. ALT0 slams against the 200-character limit and needs some copyediting and ALT1 is way over (and not interesting at all). I'd like to suggest a new version of ALT0 that is less wordy and hopefully more interesting: Raymie (tc) 06:21, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
ALT0a: ... that the Lekhapaddhati includes specimens of letters and documents intended to be used by administrators during Chaulukya rule in Gujarat, India?
@Raymie: Thank you for reviewing the DYK nomination and suggesting a new hook. The new new hook looks fine and interesting. However, I would like to know your opinion on the following alteration to your suggestion:
ALT0b:... that the Lekhapaddhati, a guidebook written in Sanskrit, includes specimens of letters and documents intended to be used by administrators during Chaulukya rule in Gujarat, India?
Thank you again Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 14:53, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
@Santoshdts: I added an extra comma, but that would be acceptable too, judging by the preview of the accompanying cite. Raymie (tc) 18:50, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
@Raymie: This looks perfect, I hope we can proceed with this. Regards Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 19:33, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
