Giovanna Gray[edit]

Portrait of Maria Malibran circa 1831

  • Comment: The hook is in the third sentence from the end of the section titled Premiere and reception. Note this is a very obscure Italian opera (a colossal failure at its premiere) and the only detailed sources are all in Italian. I have included the original Italian wording in the relevant references. The article uses short footnote citation. The complete bibliographic information and links to the sources are under the Sources sub-heading in References.

quality article, Italian sources accepted AGF, interesting hook. The free image needs to go to the opera's article, unless you want to use the one in there now. It would look better in small size, but she looks too young ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:10, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
In that case, I've switched the one in the hook for the one actually in the article (the one in the white dress). I'd rather not change the one in the article, as it echoes the white dress worn by the lead character in Act 3. There is only 3 years difference between her age in the two paintings. She died very young. Voceditenore (talk) 10:44, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
