Fred C. Cole[edit]

ALT 1 ... that Fred C. Cole supported efforts to desegregate Tulane University while he was an administrator?

  • Reviewed: Feminist Hulk
  • Comment: I know the hook is deathly dull, so I welcome suggestions for a replacement.

Created/expanded by Gamaliel (talk). Self nominated at 22:37, 5 November 2013 (UTC).

  • Hook checks out, though the source is really a little stronger stating the Cole actively argued for desegregation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thelmadatter (talkcontribs) 01:43, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
  • A possible alt would be:
ALT2: ... that librarian and historian Fred C. Cole served as president of Washington and Lee University and was later named one of the "100 Most Important Leaders We Had in the 20th Century" by American Libraries?

  • I'm happy with either of the alternate hooks. Gamaliel (talk) 04:49, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
  • ok I can confirm length, date, NPOV, and sources are good. QPQ is done (and hilarious!) and the first hook is cited. I can't approve my own hook, so if that is the one that is run, someone else will have to review ALT2. Thingg 04:11, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
ALT2 seems too long to me, so I stroked it out. Let's go with ALT1, which checks out. (There is a link to the disambiguation page A.M., not a big deal but it should be fixed.) Aymatth2 (talk) 23:41, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
