Gerda Arendt Your additions look good. I went ahead and made some minor copy edits. I just have a follow-up question. Can you provide a little information about how the speech changed the relationship between Bahr and the GDR? Or, the two parts of Germany, if that's better? (e.g., it was a broadcast that was positively received by the citizens? resulted in specific actions that were well-received? other?) Sorry, I think there's a little flaw in the logic, because the influence came before the result. Simpler, - better wording welcome:
