This article is new enough and long enough, is neutral and unpromotive and I detected no other policy issues. However I don't think the hook is borne out by the article although it probably is by the source (the jargon makes the source difficult to fully understand). In the article the comment is about the announcement of Apple Pay rather than the service itself. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:05, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
