Created Nov 2 nom Nov 3/New enough. 2904 char/long enough. Neutral. In-line citations, except for opening sentence which is a direct quotation "the beautiful daughter of an impoverished farmhand who had married above her station in life" found here:[1] and needs to be so marked. No other copyvios or close paraphrasing noted. Hook 130 chars/under maximum. Interesting. Verified by source cited. Per commons, image in PD. QPQ verified and done. - SusunW, I had taken the wording from the lead from the Stella Dallas (radio) article, not realizing that the wording had been taken straight from her obituary in The New York Times. Thank you for spotting the issue. The quote has been identified and attributed appropriately in the Elstner article and I will make the corresponding change to the article for the radio program.
