Walter Baxter

[edit]
  • ... that Walter Baxter wrote about the gay relationship between an officer and the Batman?

  • Comment: For April Fools' Day; note that the special April Fools' Day rules apply here, for example about capitalization. And, although I expanded it over six times yesterday, I'm submitting it as a new article since last April Fool's Day, so that others who contributed to the original article can receive credit.

  • I'd suggest a slightly snappier alternative hook (and strictly speaking it's only a Batman, not the Batman). Prioryman (talk) 00:18, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that Walter Baxter wrote about an officer's gay relationship with a Batman?
  • Well, he's the batman in the book. The joke doesn't work as well with "a". But thank you for making me think about the hook, as it prompted me to come up with a much better one:
  • ALT2: ... that Walter Baxter wrote about the gay Batman–Kent relationship? MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 01:42, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Kent, as in Clark...? I knew he was up to no good. You can't trust a man who wears his underpants on the outside. (But what will poor Lois say?) Anyway, the article is fine, date and length meet the requirements, sources are good and the hook is both referenced and appropriate for Fish Day. Good to go. • Thanks! I've struck the other hooks. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 00:40, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
