Continuous flash suppression[edit]

New enough, long enough, well-referenced. Offline hook ref AGF. I looked up flash suppression and found a nicely-written paragraph which I inserted here. At first I thought it should be the second paragraph of the lead, since it shows the importance of continuous flash suppression. But then I moved it down to the first subhead to go with another application. I would appreciate the page creator looking at what I did and seeing if it is correct. The last paragraph, about Mondrian patterns, also needs at least one citation per DYK rules. Best, Yoninah (talk) 20:07, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
- Note: The author does not contribute regularly, but I have just emailed her about the Mondrian patterns, so hopefully that should be resolved in the next few days. I have no objection to the paragraph that was borrowed from flash suppression, but the referencing style should be consistent, which I have just now fixed. --Cryptic C62 · Talk 20:37, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
I added a footnote in the Mondrian patterns paragraph (an additional footnote to one of the existing sources). Others will need to evaluate whether that addressed the DYK rules. --Orlady (talk) 04:31, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
- Your cite is good, Orlady, but now we need a cite connecting Piet Mondrian with Mondrian patterns. I am unable to find one online. Yoninah (talk) 08:35, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
- I disagree that such a citation would be necessary. The connection between Piet Mondrian and Mondrian patterns is so obvious that no researcher would bother to describe it. The one is named after the other, and one can verify this by looking at literally any one of his works -- they all match the description provided in the previous sentences.
