Poor article[edit]

A ridiculous amount of space is expended in discussing the supposedly embarrassing sound of her maiden name (a difficulty that apparently never fazed famed baritone Erich Kunz) or in idiotic gossip about an unlikely relationship to Tito, while next to no details are given about her 29-year artistic career at the Metropolitan Opera. This is a terrible, embarrassing, insulting article.65.206.122.30 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 23:06, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Therefore they've been removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.175.19 (talk) 05:14, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While I agree that Milanov was a singer with extraordinary gifts, this article pushes the envelope of NPV in its glowing critique of Milanov's voice. This article itemizes various virtues of a fine singing voice. A bit off topic, but fine. The problem is that it takes for granted that Milanov possessed all of them. I've never met a voice teacher who finds Milanov's Italian diction even marginally acceptable, much less exemplary. She had pitch problems of some kind or other throughout her career, as can be readily discerned from commercial recordings made when she was in her 40s. There's no point arguing these issues on this page or anywhere else. They're controversial opinions, not facts, and don't belong in an encyclopedia. 69.38.199.154 (talk) 02:23, 31 December 2008 (UTC).[reply]
