LGBT?[edit]

I see the comment about his partner Pierre has been removed as well as any information that could identify him as gay, except the LGBT category. In the past I've been shown that if the content of the article does not reflect the category, the category should be removed. Even thought his orientation is kind of an "open secret," this is a BLP article, so shouldn't the category (as well as the banner above) be removed? -- kosboot (talk) 18:14, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox consensus[edit]

The Wikipedia:WikiProject Classical music/Style guidelines says that infoboxes should not be used for classical music musicians, including conductors, without a consensus of editors on the talk page. This article has no infobox, so I am starting a discussion here. The same question arises for Charles Dutoit, which does have an infobox.

What do other editors think about infoboxes for Philadelphia Orchestra conductors or music directors? I am in favor of the infoboxes, especially if photos can be included. --DThomsen8 (talk) 12:16, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Philadelphia Orchestra box[edit]

The box is now updated. Dutoit's and Nézet-Séguin's names have been removed. Dutoit never had the title, so his name does not go into the compressed box. Nézet-Séguin can go back into the box in 2012, but not before. Only conductors with the full title of Music Director go into that box, per wikipedia convention.
