How to pronounce "Xel'Naga"?[edit]

hi, I'd like to know how does the word Xel'naga prenounced? KselNaga or ZelNaga. ty.

I think the last mission in Episode II, during the briefing room, the Overmind refers to them when he says "Behold, there is a temple, not far from here, that lies upon ground most hallowed. Though I have born witness to the passing of countless millennia, the temple which you must assault is older by far. For it was constructed by my creators, the Xel'Naga, and it marks the site where the Xel'Naga first set foot upon Aiur". Just listening to him clears your doubt.

It's "Zel" Naga. bob rulz 04:01, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This paragraf "Vague references to them assisting other races, possibly even Terrans, to reach a higher level in their individual evolutions." doesn't make sense - some words are missing. Should it start with "Some vague references"

Destroyed?[edit]

The Zel'Naga were destroyed but may live in alternate dimension? Not destroyed then ;)

The latest released video of Starcraft II terran single player gameplay mentions the return of the Xel'Naga. Either a small part of them survived the zerg attack, or only a small part of them were destroyed in the first place, or they really were destroyed but have previously made arrangements for their ressrection. Whatever it is, I suppose it's all speculation until the game is actualy released. 195.210.251.90 09:58, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate dimension?[edit]

Where does it say anywhere that they could live in an alternate dimension? This sounds entirely like baseless speculation. Also, where does it say that they may have played a hand in Terran development? Where's the evidence? That one's certainly more believable, but I've still never heard anything that suggests that. bob rulz 17:50, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They weren't from another dimension, but the manual makes it clear that they are from another galaxy: "not native to the galaxy over which they held sway" I believe is their phrasing. I don't know about this interference in Terran development, I think that is baseless speculation. -- S@bre 20:43, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

It's all referenced from the manual (included in the reference section) and from the game. I don't know why it has that tag. Kimera757 12:08, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Purity[edit]

The hell are purity of essence and purity of form? For such a big part of the concept, these don't seem to be explained. At all. Why not??KrytenKoro 08:37, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Add speculation?[edit]

I've looked around the internet, and most Blizzard fans think that the Xel'Naga are actually the Titans from Warcraft, another Blizzard game. Should we add info about this, or leave it? Das654 12:02, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, that works. Thanks, whoever! --Das654 17:13, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it's speculation, and it hasn't been covered by any reliable sources, then it must be removed. DurinsBane87 (talk) 15:01, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Starcraft 2[edit]

Quoting from the Starcraft 2 page It has also been confirmed that the Xel'Naga, the ancient space-faring race responsible for creating the Protoss and the Zerg, will play a major role in the game. Because this is Sci Fi, they could still be dead and somehow their influence causes problems in this next game. however we should mention that "they will play a major role in Starcraft 2" Oldag07 (talk) 12:12, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
