I suggest deleting the following:

"The most recongized name in the village is the name of Dempster, this being the last name of the most famous family in the village. There is up to 15 people in the village with the name all in the same family. They are compared to the Saprano family of the hit tv show for there ways of "dealing" with things."

for the following reasons, a) The standard of spelling and grammar is poor, b) I lived in Wormit for 25 years and have never heard of the (repugnant sounding) Dempsters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.178.136.228 (talk) 19:30, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The publishing connection?[edit]

You say that Wormit 'can also lay claim to being part of the start and continuance of many great British Comics, such as Action, 2000AD, The Beano, The Dandy and Commando and an inspiration and encouragement to many other great works.' This obviously refers to the D.C. Thomson organization of Dundee. What is the link with Wormit? Valetude (talk) 06:51, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
