Problem about Israel[edit]

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee recognizes Israel as European. However, Wikipedia recognizes it as Asian. To make the matter more complicate, the Old City of Jerusalem was recognized as Jordanian and therefore belong to the Arab States.

So, how are we going to distribute the count in these cases?

State Party[edit]

Colours[edit]

I find the colours a bit harsh. Calmer colours would be nice (see GDP maps), both for the maps and the barchart. The colour coding of the bars could serve as an indication of geographic zones, since the lenght already indicates nr. of WHS. Elekhh (talk) 14:32, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect[edit]

chart prob[edit]

Yeah, 23 and 25 are values accepted, but for some reason there is a problem with the 24, the real value of current Russian Sites. While DerechoReguerraz momentaneously leaves it on 23, we should find someone who knows well the program behind the chart, EasyTimeline, version 1.13. Torne (talk) 06:31, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jerusalem - located in an Arab state?[edit]

Israel conquered Jerusalem in 1967, and even before that there was always a Jewish majority there. I lived in Jerusalem for a while and not once have I seen a Jordanian motherfucker around. Don't worry. Jerusalem does not belong to this list, because it's not a country. A little higher in the list someone wrote that Israel is a European country? No way. Perhaps they would wish... S.I. Oliantigna (talk) 13:21, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For World Heritage purposes, UNESCO lists Israel in the "Europe and North America" group. See here.

Redirects to sections[edit]

Just to note, since the reorganization of the regional WHS lists, things like List of World Heritage Sites in Europe#Belgium don't work anymore as there are no such subsections in the Europe lists anymore. Eventually this will be fixed by creating List of World Heritage Sites in Belgium (and similar for other countries). Until then, List of World Heritage Sites in Belgium (etc) should probably be made into a redirect to List of World Heritage Sites in Western Europe, and any link with "#" (which is an ugly way to do things anyway) should be replaced with the redirect page. Incorrect Title or Content[edit]

The title of this article refers to "Table of World Heritage Sites by country", however this isn't what the data is in the table. The data in the table is of "World Heritage Listings". A World Heritage Listing can contain one or more sites. Thus the title of this article and the heading above the table needs to be changed or the data needs to be changed and new article made for "Table of World Heritage Listings by country" Whats up skip (talk) 09:26, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I donot agree "List of World Heritage Sites by country". There are over 1000 Heritage Sites in the world, but this article is not such a huge list. I prefer "Table of World Heritage Sites by country" or "List of countries by World Heritage Sites". But the latter is somehow weird.--Haojian (talk) 10:40, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Links to Country Lists[edit]

I think that it would be very useful to link to the national lists (e.g. List of World Heritage Sites in Albania) directly from the table, either through a new column or by replacing the existing links to the country pages. Change the number of Bulgarian World Heritage Sites from 9 to 10. Change the number of Bulgarian Natural World Heritage Sites from 2 to 3.

The number of Bulgarian World Heritage Sites is incorrect. It should be 10, because the number of Natural World Heritage Sites is 3 and not 2.
