Length[edit]

Since the article is beginning to get quite lengthy and detailed, I removed the paragraph on announcers and added the dates of their tenure to the Announcers section instead. --Mudshark66 02:10, 12 July 2005 (UTC)

Okay...but the reason I removed it in the first place is because, upon giving it some thought, I felt the info on announcers was a bit tangential, and not that important to the history of the promotion. However, I've now restored the info, rewriting it to make it a bit less confusing than it undoubtedly was before, and even managed to squeeze in a little additional information. Hope this is a good resolution to the issue. --Mudshark66 15:29, 12 July 2005 (UTC)

  • Thanks, thats a definite improvement. Gwalla | Talk 20:46, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Eventually, I will reduce the page to add links to major storylines that kept World Class hot, especially the Freebird-Von Erichs and Adams/Hernandez-Von Erichs feuds. RobDon33
  • Regarding KTVT's decision to drop its Saturday Night wrestling programs, I am not sure Eric Embry's profanity caused the program to be cancelled. One of two things occurred: either it was cancelled following a July 1990 incident in which John Tatum superkicked a female valet named Tessa in the face; or, there was profanity from either Percy Pringle or another wrestler. Or in all liklihood, the promotion could not keep up with the costs of producing the 2-hour wrestling program and simply cancelled it altogether. Keep in mind that World Class was on the verge of folding, and when the USWA pulled out in September, WCCW was gone three months later.

Why don't we just create a category for WCCW. I mean, with all the history it has, we could have an alumni subcategory, a curse subcategory, etc.. I feel it merits a cagtegory because of the history and so forth. fishhead2100 12:25PM April 27 2006 (UTC)

Category[edit]

I made a category for WCCW. I also made one subcategory so far. It is the alumni category. To add the category, do the category as normal, but put World Class Championship Wrestling alumni. fishhead2100 April 28, 2006 1:30AM (UTC)

I also made a page called World Class curse. fishhead2100 April 30, 2006 7:32PM (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Worldclass.gif[edit]

Image:Worldclass.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Love the subject, hate the article[edit]

Man this article is a mess, I am a huge WCCW fan and reading this mish-mosh of kayfabe, rumors, fanism and poor English hurts my head. I'm going to pull a cohesive article out of this, possibly even a Good Article.  MPJ-DK  00:28, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of World Class Championship Wrestling's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 06:34, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Big Time Wrestling (Detroit) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 09:02, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good god[edit]

Who wrote this rambling nonsense? Excessive is an understatement. Far too much non-notable and nearly all without references. I'll wager no one has read a fraction of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.216.106.183 (talk) 18:50, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
