11 Spring St. Project[edit]

wooster collective organized 11 spring, i don't if it's considered a notable event yet though

I think it definitely is, it was a huge collection of well-known street artists, the event was covered by the NY Times (who have written about the 11 Spring building before) and pretty innovative in terms of how they put it together (it was a free show, the artists weren't receiving money for their work). The Schillers (who run woostercollective.com) had never put a gallery show together before and this event is a big step for them, It could be the beginning of more shows being organized by them outside of the traditional gallery establishment.
Also, the fact that the owners of the building contacted the Schillers to do the show, and the fact that they got such big artists the participate, demonstrates the prominence the wooster site has risen to in 5 or so short years. The Schillers aren't even artists themselves, but they've become one of the main sources of street art information to a large part of the street art community.
