Tangential ref[edit]

This massacre is briefly mentioned in the thematic history of the City of Busselton's Municipal Heritage Inventory. It cites this source (lightly edited for Wikipedia formatting): Green, Neville "Aborigines and White Settlers in the 19th Century" in Stannage, C T – A New History of Western Australia 1981: p88. For what it's worth the link I gave in my original message is now here. Graham87 12:56, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Additional information[edit]

An ABC Background Briefing podcast I heard on the radio in Melbourne at 12:02 hours, 20 September 2021 have additional and sometimes different accounts of this massacre. These were obtained from present-day Noongar descendants and settler descendants. One fact I can remember clearly was that Charles Bussel, not John, was involved in the massacre. The middle of the night is not the best time to follow this up! 121.200.4.193 (talk) 14:07, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
