Untitled[edit]

The main article says a two story basement was added to the White House during the Truman reconstruction. This article hardly describes enough to fill more than a corner of these two floors. If this article is failing to mention classified sections of the basesments I think it should say so. Geo Swan (talk) 18:03, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not so much classified, as there just isn't a lot of information available. I got the impression it was mostly offices, storage, machinery, access to the plumbing, etc. Think of a large hotel and how much nuts and bolts stuff is down underground.Bkatcher (talk) 17:51, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Content[edit]

This article is mixing up the ground floor of the white house and the actual basement. The ground floor is what has the carpenters shop, flower shop, bowling alley and so on, not the basement. The 2 level basement is located below the ground floor. Zdawg1029 (talk) 17:11, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
