Least memorable tune[edit]

Berlin's least memorable? Pooh. Look through a comprehensive list of his compositions. Not a composer in the class of the Beatles, Dylan, or 30 others of the 20th. 67.188.119.72 (talk) 00:32, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Idiot. Idiot. Idiot. That is all. Algabal (talk) 22:45, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Remove opinion[edit]

I am removing the words: "At the October 1954 premiere of "A Star is Born", Vera-Ellen is seen wearing a low-necked gown and her fine looking neck and shoulders are clearly visible." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.155.235.39 (talk) 19:01, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Fosse as (uncredited) choreographer[edit]

So TCM used to be a source for this information, but now it apparently isn't reliable. IMDB likewise says he did, but that's always questionable, so I've been looking to see what else there is on it. The Star Tribune in 2003 said he did choreography for it. A random movie poster auction in early 2004 credits choreography to him and Robert Alton.

I've been trying to track down earlier information that's less likely to be just echoing other internet sources, but those are the earliest unambiguous ones I've turned up so far (and I don't have access to a quality real-world library at the moment). The two bios of Fosse available for preview on Google don't mention White Christmas at all. I'm trying to track down a copy of the third (no preview). Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:01, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Trimming the Plot Description[edit]

As requested, I trimmed the Plot Description (by about 240 words). I focused on tightening the language and smoothing out transitions, and not on deleting information. Is this sufficient? I welcome opinions. Findemnow (talk) 22:08, 24 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think the plot trimming went a little too far. I'd find this section fairly incomprehensible if I hadn't seen the movie. For example, almost everything in the second paragraph comes as a complete non sequitur: "When the train arrives in Pine Tree, there's not a snowflake in sight, and chances of it falling appear dim. He decides to prove to the General that he isn't forgotten.". What train? No train was mentioned. What is Pine Tree and why is relevant? What is its relation to the characters? What's the point of mentioning the snow? Without noting that Pine Tree is a ski resort, the relevance of the snowfall is not clear. And who is "he" who is proving something to the General? There's no clear referent. Mnudelman (talk) 16:29, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Paramount Pictures (1961) (USA) (theatrical) (re-release) trailer[edit]

  • Paramount Pictures (1954) (USA) (theatrical)
  • Paramount Pictures (1961) (USA) (theatrical) (re-release)

The Paramount 2000 DVD contains commentary by Rosemary Clooney and a 17min interview with her (recorded about 2000, not long before her death in 2002?), a 2min theatrical release trailer, and a 2min theatrical re-release trailer, which is presumably from 1961.-71.174.190.122 (talk) 18:38, 24 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
