Citations Needed[edit]

The opening paragraph has a comment about the local immigrant population... citation needed...

The Historical Society of the Westburys definitely has documents in their "cottage" that document the immigration of various peoples to Westbury. I remember while reading a document there this summer that I was amused to notice in one census there was said to be exactly one Lithuanian in Westbury, at that time. Several decades later that number had grown considerably.

AME Zion Church location?[edit]

The article says the AME Zion Church is at the corner or Union Av. and Cross St. The History Page of the Village of Westbury agrees, but I live here in Westbury and know the AME Zion church is a couple of blocks away from that intersection at the corner of Union Av. and Grand Blvd as shown by Google. I don't know if the statement about Union Av. and Cross St. is an error or merely something that hasn't caught up with more recent history. Tonight I've e-mailed the Mayor of the Village of Westbury in search of the webmaster for that History Page. That History Page is as loose about citations as is the Wikipedia page.

Anyone here who feels they "own" this Wikipedia page??

History Section[edit]

The history section should be rewritten. It has an odd tone that's inappropriate for a neutral encyclopedia. In some parts, it's written from the perspective of a travel guide, and in other parts, it sounds like American propaganda (...sent soldiers to serve our country)
