New speculation on their origin[edit]

Arent they the same as the futurekind found in utopia? The similaritys are striking.

and as i've said above don't they look a bit like Hoix. mabey the Hoix, Weevils and Futurekind are somehow related.

About the name - should it be capitalized or not? I would prefer capitals, to distinguish them from the beetles. Most alien races are capitalized, but that is usually because they are named after their planet (just as "humans" are "Terrans" or "Earthlings"). On the other hand, "Weevil" is a nickname, and nicknames count as proper names and have capitals. I'm inclined to go ahead and capitalize throughout, and will do it shortly if no one has any objections. Robina Fox (talk) 10:32, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Beth/Janet[edit]

I've not seen all of Torchwood yet, so I won't make any changes, but there's mention of Janet being afraid of Beth, but no allusion to which Weevil is Beth. Beth's not a weevil, she's an alien sleeper agent, seen in the episode "Sleeper".

The Greatest Mystery of Torchwood[edit]

Since the "weevils" (and what happens if they ever run into an alien that looks like a weevil? What will they call it? An ocelot?) have low levels of language, intelligence and community, can someone please explain who is dressing them in orange jumpers and why? If it's the weevils themselves, where are they getting them and why? Are they all spawning in a men's work clothing store basement? It's like with the Ood. All the Ood on the Ood homeworld appear to be wearing maroon jumpers, but one would think that was their slave costume given to them only after capture by the fussy humans. So, where are all these time and space spanning Earth type jumpers coming from that aliens find so becoming?
