Overall: @Heavy Water: Looks good. Per D11, I have re-rated the article to start-class. (I have also changed the reference to a link, just to avoid problems with reflists). For hooks, I usually prefer facts to what I call "definition hooks", but I think this hook is OK as is. I would recommend a slight rewording: ALT1 ... that weather whiplash is the phenomenon of rapid swings between extremes of weather conditions? Are you OK with this?
