Disappointed[edit]

I am disappointed that this article seems to focus only on the success of the song as a UK disk. The song itself has significance and stage history. I think it was introduced by Burl Ives on stage. Apparently it was designed to be sung within less than a full octave in anticipation of an actor with limited singing ability. Sussmanbern (talk) 15:14, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In both the Broadway musical and the film, Wand'rin' Star is sung by Ben Rumson. In the play, Rumson is played by James Barton, not Burl Ives. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 16:42, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
