Luminosity[edit]

It would be interesting to see how luminous this star would have to be to be the same size as UY Scuti using the Stefan–Boltzmann law. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JayKayXD (talkcontribs) 21:42, 9 January 2019 (UTC) Luminosity proportional to the fourth power of temperature, at the same radius. 62 times hotter, so very luminous! Or luminosity proportional to the square of the radius, at the same temperature. 7,426 times smaller and a quarter of the luminosity, so very luminous!
