I've removed the proposed deletion tag from this article: it appears to be sourced, and makes no claim that this was anything other than a hoax. Hoaxes are interesting, and articleworthy if they meet the general notability criteria. -- The Anome (talk) 21:17, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The runet ((in Russian) Internet) sources.[edit]

I've been surfing the runet regarding this incident and there is a fair amount of posts and articles about it (in Russian) A Russian book on the topic is "НЛО в Ворониже" (UFO at Voronezh) by Ф Киселёв, et. al. 1990 (OCLC 64749584). I've requested the sole copy of it found on Worldcat. Note that there are many Soviet books that are not on Worldcat at all due to incompatible databases in Russian vs. the U.S. Thus there is likely a lot more copies in libraries in Russia. I've found eyewitness accounts on the runet and a mention of how school-kid witnesses (one was 16 yrs. old) were asked to draw a picture of the event and they all turned out roughly the same. Also it wasn't just kids that saw it since adults report seeing a UFO circling the park where a UFO allegedly landed and humanoids/robots disembarked. There were also landing gear marks found in the soil. Thus it appears that there are other sources besides just the TASS article.

I'm very busy and may not find time to read the book and edit this article based primarily on the book, etc. Does anyone else here besides me read Russian? I hope so since I'm 82 and may drop dead at any time. David S. Lawyer 07:04, 31 August 2015 (UTC)

Have you read the WP:FRIND sources presently contained in the article (like [https://news.google.com/newspapers?

nid=1917&dat=19891011&id=-xQxAAAAIBAJ&sjid=y-AFAAAAIBAJ&pg=1042,2604606&hl=en this one])? Adding low-quality Russian "UFO expert" sources pushing the POV that space aliens landed would not be an improvement. - LuckyLouie (talk) 13:02, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Doubt you are 82 - this smacks of a 'believer' trying to stir the pot with a personal POV.

Paul Kurtz[edit]

Added a Skeptical Inquirer article by Paul Kurtz [1] which is good quality WP:FRIND source per NPOV and WP:FRINGE. - LuckyLouie (talk) 19:21, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
