I think, without cutting what's already there, that some way should be found to include mention of the David Oistrakh recording, or recordings, since modern transfers of the Dushkin are more disappointing than they should be, and the Stern performance too isn't very convincing, though not as awkward as the performance Menuhin gave once at Bath with Nadia Boulanger. Oistrakh seems to have understood it instinctively as an offspring of 'Petrushka' rather than a 'neo-classical' piece.Delahays (talk) 09:05, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
