Diogenite[edit]

quote "The Vesta family also includes a few J-type asteroids (related to the V-type), which are thought to have come from the deeper layers of Vesta's crust, and correspond to the diogenite meteorites"

Are diogenites part of the J-type or HED meteorites ? This is not clear

What are vestoids?[edit]

According to the lead, the vestoids are the members of the Vesta family of asteroids. However, the lead of the V-type asteroid article suggests that the term designates the (slightly larger) group of V-type asteroids.

"-oid" means 'in the form of', and vestoids are asteroids with Vesta-like spectra. I don't know if our comment that 6% of asteroids are "vestoids" means what it says, which would be irrelevant here, or if it means vestan asteroids. (I suspect the former, in which case it should be moved to the vestoid article if we can ref it.) — kwami (talk) 20:12, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
