Early life and education[edit]

To me it seems that the first two paragraphs in this section are not really written in the style that one would expect from an encyclopedia, namely objectively. Does one have a right to study an STEM curriculum, and if yes, did one have to fight for it? Also I do not find these claims in the references given here. Could we perhaps condense this to a matter-of-fact "Thomas was born in Baltimore, MD. Coming from an adverse background, she attended..."? Seattle Jörg (talk) 21:02, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
