Trinity Saint David[edit]

Please help out, and contribute to a new article on the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David, in my userspace - User:Twrist/Trinity_Saint_David. Hopefully we can have a really good comprehensive article ready to go for the launch of the new institution. Cheers! Twrist (talk) 19:26, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sport[edit]

Please keep the sports in the infobox in alphabetical order so no sport/team has a biased preference, as per NPOV. ~Alosel~ | (Talk) 18:22, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Campus Titles[edit]

See http://www.trinitysaintdavid.ac.uk/en/theuniversity/ for campus titles. They are officially the "Lampeter campus" and "Carmarthen campus", and the previously used "Trinity campus" and "St David campus" seem to have been guesswork from contributors editing prior to the launch of the new university. I don't think this requires a reference in the article, as it will become common knowledge. ThomasL (talk) 12:43, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Prior to the Summer '10, TSD were calling the campuses "Trinity campus" and "St David campus" in official documents, but changed it as the academic year begun, hence the confusion. Couldn't make up their mind, eh. ~Alosel~ | (Talk) 11:44, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

There appears to be no comma in the name of the university as presently constituted. I therefore propose moving the article to University of Wales Trinity Saint David. -- Picapica (talk) 10:01, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Now done. -- Picapica (talk) 17:13, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Academic Dress?[edit]

Is the section on Academic Dress correct? The University awards degrees under the name of University of Wales Trinity Saint David, which is under the 2010 supplemental Royal Charter to the original St David's College (the University of Wales, Lampeter) Royal Charter [1] [2]. This is distinct from the Royal Charter for the University of Wales, which is in the process of being returned. Ianjmatt (talk) 22:03, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding is that it is half correct: the academic dress used for degrees at UWTSD is that of the University of Wales. However, UWTSD has apparently awarded its own degrees since July 2014 – it appears to have adopted the Wales academic dress wholesale. Robminchin (talk) 02:11, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
