The image is a disaster. The colors are inverted from normal usage and the usage that is standardized through all of the Congressional Delegations pages (blue for Democrats, red for Republicans). I have changed the legend on the map to indicate the backwardness of its colors, but I think it's still visually confusing, and in its current state it represents a party delegation that Utah has NEVER sent to Congress (Democrats in the 1st and 3rd, Republican in the 2nd). Someone with the capabilities to do so needs to get the colors on the image inverted. Thanks! 69.143.216.119 (talk) 00:59, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Changed the color on the map. Thanks for catching that. Also, elections are held in 2012 with the re-structured districts. Those elected take office in 2013. Maps are most often labeled 2002-2012 because that is when elections take place. I've seen things labeled as "2002 redistricting" and "2003 redistricting", both of which are techniquely correct. Not exactly sure what you mean when you talk about Matheson.
As you've noticed, I've gone through and revamped the page. I'm bound to make mistakes while I do it. If you see any mistakes or have suggestions for improvement, I'm all ears. Bgwhite (talk) 04:13, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Two years?[edit]

Twice the article states that senators were elected to two-year terms prior to the 17th amendment, without a source. I find this highly unlikely, seeing how the federal constitution mandated six-year terms for senators... --Golbez (talk) 22:19, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You and the constitution are correct. Source on the State of Utah history web site is wrong... Utah was the only state not to approve the 17th amendment and many current state legislators want to repeal the 17th, so maybe it was wishful thinking on the state's part :) Bgwhite (talk) 00:36, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Map is wrong[edit]

Utah has 4 congressional districts now and the map only shows 3. Legalize (talk) 21:07, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
