UEFA Euro 1968 final tournament - wrong line-ups[edit]

Hi all and @Tanonero

Line-ups for the Teams in this page are wrong. They are taken from the UEFA official report, which is merely showing the list of players in numerical order and not the tactical positions of the players. To improve this page, please accept external contributions of Wikipedia users who are aware of this topic.

As an example, for the soviet team, you can easily check on Wikipedia pages that player Albert Shesternyov is a defender and not a striker, Anatoliy Banishevskiy is a striker and not a defender, Anatoliy Byshovets is a forward and not a defender, etc. etc.

If, in your opinion, in this page you just want to do a copy of the UEFA pages, please don't add wrong line-ups and wrong tactical positions.

Fyi, a good site to catch information about European Teams is here: https://eu-football.info/

@Genland PZ: Hi, it is true the UEFA lists the lineups by numerical order that doesn't necessarily reflect the positions on the pitch, but it is also true that it is difficult to find the exact line-up formation and position for these old games. If you know how to retrieve credible information on the players' positions, feel free to correct the lineups and re-upload new versions of the images. Hi @Tanonero and all,
I have recently watched both UEFA Euro 1968 semi-finals on this site: https://footballia.net/
I have fixed tactical line-ups of this page according to my interpretation of the games (not too far from the truth, I hope).
The images of the page are own-work by @S.A. Julio. They can be improved if wanted.
