Hi Hurricanehink, I will be reviewing Typhoon Krosa (2013) for GAN today. Anyway, this is gonna be my first Good Article review of 2014!

  • "VNCHMF designation: Bão số 12 )" - What is VNCHMF?
  • "that made landfall in the northern Philippines on October 31, 2013." - Is the exact full date necessary? Why not just "in October 2013"?
  • "It formed several days prior near Guam, and slowly intensified while moving westward." - I think you are gonna need to find a better word to start that sentence. What formed several days prior near Guam, the Philippines? Also, if you decide to remove the exact full date from the previous sentence, state the date here.
  • "It formed several days prior near Guam," - Wikilink Guam?
  • "including 3,000 that were destroyed, and caused four fatalities." - Infobox says 9 fatalities. Am I missing something?
  • "High winds and rainfall left P277 million (PHP, $6.4 million USD) in damage." - Were all the damage totals from 2013? :P
  • "While approaching northern Luzon, Krosa quickly intensified as the initial eye feature organized into a well-defined eye" - Shouldn't start a new paragraph without including the date in the first sentence.
  • " west-southwest due to a new ridge." - Is this a subtropical ridge or simply a ridge (meteorology)? If the latter, please wikilink.
    • Source doesn't clarify, but I don't think it's needed, honestly. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 21:28, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "a car crashed into a gasoline truck due to power outages." - A car accident due to a power outage? Was it too dark or something?
  • "a "yellow alert" – the second-lowest of four warning" - This might be easier to understand if you said something like "the second-lowest of the four level warning system".
  • On reference #3, the publisher reads "INQUIRER.net." However, I did a little bit of digging and found out that this is really Philippine Daily Inquirer.
  • Why are the accessdates for references 5 and 6 in the date-month-year numerical format? Fix these accessdate so that there format is consistent with the other references.
  • The remaining sections of the article look good. Therefore, this is probably all the issues that I believe must be fixed before I can list this as a Good Article. Happy new year and good luck in the WikiCup!--12george1 (talk) 00:26, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thanks a lot! --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 21:28, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • Nice work, Hurricanehink! I am now going to pass this article and list it as a GA.--12george1 (talk) 21:52, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
