Merging with List of Turkish women writers[edit]

It has been suggested that the List of Turkish women writers should be merged with this article. In my opinion, both have a place in Wikipedia and should be kept separate. The list is one of about 30 similar lists covering women writers in various countries, above all in Europe. The lists are a useful starting point for those interested in researching the individuals or genres covered. There are always links to Wikipedia articles. I also think there is clearly room for the expansion of this article on Turkish women writers, for example with better coverage of the part now played by women as novelists, poets, children's writers and writers of non-fiction.--Ipigott (talk) 13:48, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge. This article already has a shorter list. The rest of the Turkish female writers there, at the List of Turkish women writers should be added to this short list here in Turkish women writers. --176.239.127.215 (talk) 18:28, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose merge; the main Turkish women writers very reasonably has a short list of key authors, and the page is linked to the more complete list; this style fits ideally with WP:SUMMARY. That would mean that the only helpful change would be to add a Template:main to the Turkish women writers#Notable writers and poets section. Klbrain (talk) 23:32, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, given no consensus to merge over more than 2 years. Klbrain (talk) 20:40, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
