Headquarters[edit]

The headquarters are not in geneva. The company structure is so complicated that it is not really sure where they are. The company has officially the headquarters in singapoore, this one is owned by a dutch holding company. This in turn is controlled by a foundation in panama. I am disclosing my conflict of interest with Trafigura. I would like to request the following edits to the opening paragraph.

The current opening statement is incorrect: Trafigura Group Pte. Ltd. is a Singaporean-based French multinational commodity trading company founded in 1993 that trades in base metals and energy.

Of note, the lead was changed to incorrectly state “French multinational’ in early March 2023 by an account that has been banned as a sock puppet and persistent vandal adding unsourced content, often adding ‘French and ‘France’ to articles. Though Trafigura is domiciled in Singapore, we have regional hubs and I have provided sources for this.

My proposed text is:
