Untitled[edit]

remember, this is not an advert for the city, it should be expanded to include more information on the economic impact of tourism, not just the attractions. As part of the ongoing cleanup of this page, please consider the following-

  • Is it UNIQUE to Colorado Springs?
  • Is it something which has to do directly with TOURISM (destinations like historic buildings, the world's largest something or other), or is it just something for locals (malls and normal shopping centers)?
  • Is this a list for the sake of making a list? REMEMBER- this is an ARTICLE, not a list.
  • Does the outside world care about it? No one comes to the city to look at our suburbs, they do come for our HISTORIC DISTRICTS, world class RESORTS and HOTELS, and our unique HISTORIC INDUSTRIES

Lastly- Please DO NOT list every single national historic register building in the city... if there are many in a given area, do a short blurb on the area. ViewFromThePeak 05:30, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reorganization[edit]

To keep the page as list free as possible, i have started reorganizing historic buildings and local attractions into their respective neighborhoods. Once this is finished, I hope we can delete all these unsightly lists. ViewFromThePeak 05:30, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article requests[edit]

We need one on the Pikes Peak Range Riders, the AdAMan Club, Barr Camp... Chris 01:45, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i have never heard of it, so do it yourself, seems easy enough ViewFromThePeak 02:21, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shopping[edit]

This is not made as a tour guide, and the Shops at the Bluffs barely exist at all at this point, if anything, the Promenade shops at Briargate would be listed. Should Shopping Malls, none with stores unique to the area, be included in a LEGITIMATE tourism article? ViewFromThePeak 02:23, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
