Article necessary?[edit]

Is this article really necessary? Only one fatality, max rating so far EF2. An argument could perhaps be made if there are any tornadoes assessed as EF4 or a few as EF3, but even then I'm not sure this can't be handled between Tornadoes of 2013 and List of United States tornadoes in January 2013. I'd wait a few days before discussing deletion to see how many more confirmed tornadoes file in. More surveys could still come in, and looking at the map, a few more could still touch down before this sweeps out to sea. TornadoLGS (talk) 02:14, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I sort of thought this was "jumping the gun" as well. I don't think an article is required, but an extensive section on Tornadoes of 2013 is a must. United States Man (talk) 04:00, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rename[edit]

Should we rename this simply January 2013 tornado outbreak? That seems to be what we've done in the past when there aren't multiple outbreaks in a month. Ks0stm (TCGE) 16:38, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The name is more specific. Everything seems fine with the name. No good reason to move it. United States Man (talk) 02:26, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. It's already here - there's no point in moving it. And we don't always do what the OP has suggested (January 22–23, 2012 tornado outbreak for example). Inks.LWC (talk) 06:48, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hrm, alright, works for me either way...I just remember November 2006 tornado outbreak, May 2007 tornado outbreak, June 2008 tornado outbreak sequence, February 2009 tornado outbreak, April 2010 tornado outbreak, etc. Ks0stm (TCGE) 06:58, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
