Sources needed[edit]

I did a Google search, and besides a mention in an online forum (not a reliable source) all the online mentions of this village that I could find seemed to be based on this Wikipedia article. As an inhabited place, it is pretty much automatically notable provided we can verify its existence. Sources for this need not be online. Hello DES -- The town exists, at least, the road to Toolihalan is on Google Maps. It has a school with 24 students according to official government reports and a billion databases that depend on the original government reports. This exercise reminds me of Agloe, New York. Hello, Rhadow. I didn't really doubt it, but not doubting isn't the same as citing a source, and it could have been subtle vandalism, I suppose. Can you cite that official government report, please? Oddly enough, I have driven within a few miles of the purported site of Agloe at least 50 times, and never knew it was there, or should i say that it wasn't there. I wouldn't bet my paycheck on this one. [1]. page 26. Neither the Indian government nor the Pakistani government seem to have noticed this place and described it in English. The village has 41% literacy, supposedly. Rhadow (talk) 23:35, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Farooqahmadbhat, a passing reference in a primary source ("Primary School Toolihalan Heerpora, Shopian") does not confer notability or, in this case, even prove existence of the village. Hello StraussInTheHouse, a single passing reference to a school named Toolihalan or a road named Toolihalan, is insufficient to demonstrate the existence of a village. @Rhadow: that was a semi-automated edit. The article invoked <code>{{unreferenced}}</code> while also invoking <code>{{citation}}</code> variant, meaning it was in Category:All articles lacking sources when it should have been in Category:All articles needing additional references.
